Paying with Cash
Our cash-pay model is designed for patients who are uninsured, have high deductibles, or simply want to avoid the complexity and surprise bills of insurance-based care.
Benefits of cash pay:
- ✓ One transparent price — no surprises
- ✓ No deductibles, copays, or coinsurance
- ✓ No fighting with insurance companies
- ✓ Often cheaper than insured out-of-pocket costs
Don't Have Insurance?
Colonoscopy KC operates on a self-pay model — we do not bill insurance. This allows us to keep our prices transparent and all-inclusive, with no surprise bills.
Even if you have insurance, our cash price of $1,275 is often less than what you'd pay out-of-pocket after deductibles and copays — especially if your procedure involves polyp removal or biopsy.
Under the Affordable Care Act, screening colonoscopies are covered with no out-of-pocket costs for most insured plans. However, if a polyp is found and removed during the screening, the procedure may be reclassified as "diagnostic" — potentially triggering your deductible, copays, and coinsurance. You could also receive separate bills from multiple providers.
If you prefer to use your insurance, we recommend contacting your provider to ask about out-of-network reimbursement. Many patients pay our cash price upfront and submit a claim to their insurer afterward for potential reimbursement.
