Using Insurance
We do accept insurance. Under the Affordable Care Act, screening colonoscopies are covered with no out-of-pocket costs for most plans.
Important to know:
- ⚠ If a polyp is removed during a screening colonoscopy, it may be reclassified as "diagnostic" — potentially triggering your deductible and copays
- ⚠ You may receive separate bills from the physician, surgery center, anesthesia group, and pathology lab
- ⚠ Contact your insurance provider before the procedure to understand your coverage
